Hi, my name is Cara and I’ve been creating jewelry by hand in my Sunset Valley, Texas studio since 2016, using traditional metalsmithing techniques to turn precious metals and gemstones into pieces that are both wearable and meaningful. My work blends nature-inspired artistry with timeless design, and everything is made in small batches or as one-of-a-kind pieces.
I started Cara Carter Jewelry because I wanted to combine my love of art, nature, and personal connection into something tangible; something people could wear every day and feel confident, beautiful, and themselves in. I strive to make jewelry that feels special without being “too precious” to wear; it’s art you can live in.
I’ve always loved how jewelry can tell a story. A ring bought on vacation, a necklace passed down through the family, earrings gifted “just because”… these pieces carry memories and meaning far beyond the materials they are made from. I love knowing that my work can become a part of someone’s memories and story.
My collections each show a different side of my design style. My nature-inspired pendants are among my most popular pieces, where I hand-pierce intricate designs directly into metal. These pieces capture textures, shapes, and animals found in nature, such as flowers, birds, and woodland creatures. My Eclectic Gems Collection focuses on one-of-a-kind gemstones with unique colors and patterns, designed to highlight each stone’s natural beauty. And my Everyday Collection offers simple, versatile sterling silver designs that mix, match, and go with everything.
My “why” is simple: I want to create pieces that connect people to nature, to beauty, to themselves, and to moments that matter. Every piece is made start to finish by hand in my studio, with careful attention to detail and quality. I choose my materials thoughtfully, working primarily in sterling silver, gold, and select gemstones, and I limit my production so each design feels unique.
