Pink Sapphire and Abalone Sterling Silver Necklace

This gorgeous statement necklace features a faceted pink sapphire set within an abalone shell doublet. This very unique handcrafted gemstone combination is set in sterling silver. Sapphire is the birthstone for September.

Sapphires are precious gemstones that belong to the corundum mineral family and they naturally occur in a rainbow of colors, such as blue, pink, yellow, green, purple, and even colorless (referred to as white sapphires). They are also one of the hardest gemstones, ranking 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness which makes them highly durable.

The pendant height is 1" and the width is 3/4" and it cascades from a series of handmade oval links. The overall necklace is 16" in length.
